We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Manager to oversee the efficient operations of our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse activities, including inbound and outbound movements and their conference and control, inventory management, staff supervision, and ensuring adherence to safety and security protocols. The Warehouse Manager will play a vital role in optimizing productivity, maintaining inventory accuracy, and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

1) Warehouse Operations Management:

• Plan, organize, and supervise day-to-day warehouse operations.

• Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space, equipment, and labor resources.

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and audits.

• Coordinate and oversee all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

2) Staff Supervision and Training:

• Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse personnel, including scheduling shifts and assigning tasks.

• Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to warehouse staff.

• Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance issues or concerns.

• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, safety, and high productivity.

3) Inventory Management:

• Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track and optimize inventory levels.

• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and ensure adequate stock levels.

• Oversee the receiving, inspection, storage, and distribution of materials and products.

• Minimize inventory discrepancies through regular reconciliation and error investigation, and implementing specific actions to avoid repetitive errors.

4) Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

• Promote a culture of safety awareness and enforce safe working practices.

• Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards or concerns.

• Implement and maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety protocols and incidents.

5) Process Improvement and Efficiency:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement streamlined procedures.

• Develop solutions to analyse systematically warehouse operations and act immediately over deviations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and optimize warehouse processes in order to obtain global service levels.

• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and improve operational efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).

• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Warehouse Manager or a similar role in a FMCG warehouse environment.

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.

• Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software such as MS Exel.

• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written – English and french.

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and experience in promoting a safety-conscious culture.
